Full user-manual available here. Please refer to Chapter 8 for details on using the GoToMeeting integration functionality.

When booking a call in the Agnitio Planner 4.x, the users may choose to create the call as a "Remote"-call. Choosing this option will activate the installed GoToMeeting on the PC, and set up the session on the GoToMeeting-servers. A unique ID is generated, and the Agnitio Planner allows users to send out an invite to one or more participants directly from within the Planner, via their default mail-systems. If the e-mail adresses of the chosen attendees is available in the database, these will be automatically filled into the recipient field of the e-mail.

Remote sessions may be set up and executed immediately, or may be booked for calls in the future. All relevant data for the call is stored locally on the Planner as well as on the GoToMeeting servers, via the GoToMeeting API, allowing a full interchange of the required data, and a fluid functionality.

  • All data is captured as it would be in a face-to-face session
  • Support for web-cams, allowing the presenter and participants to see eachother
  • Control may be given to other participants, allowing attendees to click and control the presentation, if desired
  • Leverages the industry-leading functionality from Citrix GoToMeeting

The functionality, in detail

Setting up the session is done in the normal way, as seen in the Agnitio Planner manual. The only additional action needed, is to click the tick-box indicating that this call will be a remote call.

When the "Remote"-option is chosen and the save-button is clicked, the Agnitio Planner will send the relevant information to the Citrix GoToMeeting servers, to set up the unique session. The log-on information will be required the first time the functionality is used, but if users choose to use the "Stay signed in"-option, the connection will be automatically established for any future calls.

The Planner negotiates with the servers, and a unique ID is issued, and sent back. This ID is stored as part of the meeting-information, and the session is now ready to be launched, either immediately, or later on at the required time. The Planner will display the unique URL for the session, which can be copied and used wherever needed. The Planner also allows you to activate the automated invite-functionality, that allows you to send all relevant information to your chosen contacts, or anyone else you may need to inform. This will automatically be done sueing whichever mail-system the user has set as defauilt on the PC.

Once the "Start"-button is clicked, the Planner will once again contact the GoToMeeting servers, and activate the relevant session, so it can be enetered by the participants. Once the call is ended, the Planner will automatically shut down the GoToMeeting-session as well, to ensure that no other parts of the user's desktop is accidentally shared.

Since the functionality uses a screen-sharing functionality, with the tool running on the local PC, the data-capture happens as normal on the local PC, ensuring that all the data-monitoring capabilities of the Agnitio Planner is retained
